ART: All Right things about Texture, to know more is to live with less!
The texture is a living emotion, the one you can see as well as touch. Everything has texture, from your skin to your clothes, the whole world, and the universe. Have you ever noticed why texture is so important? And how it changed the whole fashion world from time to time? If you look back in time each era had some different sense of texture and design. From polka dots to straight lines, plain aesthetics to block bolds, each texture has its impact and persona.
The texture is associated with the darning of the fabric. Sometimes we can texturize the fabric by connecting sutured details, pin creases, and embroideries as well. And when everything is already an art, what else texture could be? Let's find out with a brief and little origin.
An Adjective or an Art
Often when you talk about fashion, even when you look at a person the first thing you see is what he or she wearing? Maybe a delicate suit or leather boots, a funky tie, knitted camisole, a traditional Kurti, or even a professional suit, and why forget a wedding dress. This all here is enhanced by one thing that is texture and the pattern it draws.
On the other hand, you can feel and touch the fabric and describe the texture in many ways, a secret to quality as well. To settle it clearly, Fabric texture/textile texture is the exterior feature and composition of the fabric. To see it even more simplistic the Textile texture is whereby the facade of fabric seems and senses. Art to see and an adjective to be defined with several words, texture makes the bearer an artist.
Is it really important? Texture and fashion and oh; why so related!!!
The very first glimpse, texture creates dynamic attention and beautiful chaos in the fabric. It later becomes a tool for fashion and designers to emphasize and enhance their work. It also is an element of design, a separate subject to study now. Similarly, the most important factor is texture unites the culture and creativity of different origins and countries. Each country for say India has a peculiarity of culture and society which hence reflects in the designs and clothes. Japan, a calm and serene voice reflects in their outfits as well as lifestyle.
A Prism without light
Look down the fabric around you, it could be a bed sheet or a blanket and see what texture you see, and looking at it how do you automatically feel? See, there will be some emotion driving into your head and the more you look at it the more detailed it becomes. That's what magic of your brain response actively to the details, and takes you to different thoughts into your memory lane. The pattern and texture of fabric have an impression on the style it drapes, which, in turn, influences the way a garment peers when it is carried.
Interestingly textures have authority, extent, volume, and light-absorbing or reflecting characteristics. To look thinner, see for textiles that are medium to nebbish which are abrupt, but not rigid. Very rigid fabrics look to figure weight to the body. A soft texture is slimming and manages to cover figure variations. These materials will not append visible weight except if the fabric is dense. Hence, reality vs. a good reality sounds better than just a mediocre life. And why not when you can have it.
Types and some history, let's not go into detail!
A composition of clothing's texture can radically reconstruct its capacities. There are many diverse types of fabrics and textures managed to formulate modern apparel. There are types of texture used a hundred years back inspiring today's fashion world. And the types are not one or two; there are a hundred styles and thousand other types of texture. Let's highlight a few and basic ones:
Originally there three specific types of textures which are Original texture, Treated texture, and Supplementary texture.
Bending a little towards the beginning of time then the earliest indication of humans preparing and using cloths is from dyed flax fibers discovered in a cave in the Republic of Georgia which record from 34,000 BC. Hence, it existed before we were even born and known anything about the word texture, fashion, and lifestyle.
