We are in the most uncertain of times, a time where we are living a dystopian life that was once only described in fiction and now our very reality. Well, we all having been seeking solace through art to accept and cope with this change. The art that very closely resembles our current situation is Abstract art, though it was present from time immemorial in the art and design world.Abstract art is more of an illusion of reality. This kind of art saves us from the identity crisis that we all have been facing and fearing as it provides a uniqueness in nature and character and also an entirely different reality to live in and find peace. Abstract art is loaded with meanings and mostly depicted and portrayed in the most complex manner.

Abstract Patterns have ruled the runway for it's uniqueness

Abstract art had also seeped its way into the textile industry, a really long time ago. And therefore, abstract textile patterns are not completely new in the industry. These patterns give textiles a timeless and ethereal visual feeling. We know that the word ‘pattern’ by all means is the repetition of a design over and over again. Apparently, it is the same in the case of an abstract pattern. But here, there is a twist. Yes, you have guessed it…the pattern would be something quirky and eccentric.

Well, the specialty of abstract patterns does not conclude with that feature. The repetition in these patterns are highly distinctive and the motifs and themes used vary from one designer to another because the very crux or core of abstract art is in the freedom of expressing these random and out-of-the-world ideas. The main contrasting feature that abstract patterns possess is that when one takes a piece of cloth that has a normal pattern on it, she/he can figure out where is the particular beginning or end of the pattern and even determine what exactly the repeating motif is. But in the case of an abstract pattern, one cannot seem to decipher the repeating motif and, in some cases, you might not even feel that there is a repetition in the pattern. Now isn’t that interesting or what?

It is the different kinds of prints, their patterns and colors that leads each one of us into adding them to our precious collection of clothes. Abstract designs are highly inspirational and they are the current trend-setters. Abstract patterned fabrics never fail to bring into limelight your personality and idiosyncrasies because they focus more on representing ideas and emotions than portraying the world outside.

Abstract patterns & it's versatility

So, mix n’ match those abstract floral designs and geometric printed clothes that have been in your wardrobe all along. In case you do not have any abstract printed fabric, you now know that it is a complete wardrobe essential so go ahead and shop those little printed beauties and you won’t ever regret the money you invested in them. You can go for the subtle prints for a formal occasion or the wild and crazy prints for your night-outs; depending on the occasion and the kind of person you are, flaunt these abstract pattern clothes. You can use these printed fabrics along with your color blocked outfits for a funky look because…off with the summer floral prints and off with the winter color blocked fashion.

During this season when our faces are covered by masks and our identities are at stake when we step outside our houses, let the world know who we are with the kind of intense and meaningful abstract pattern clothes that we flaunt. Let these beautiful fabrics give us the confidence to face the harsh realities of our newly molded daily lives and you never know who you might secretly inspire into buying these lovelies!
